How In the WORLD Are We Still Single?

Ever wonder what a bunch of singles do on a Saturday night? Several of us have gotten addicted to So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD). So why not recreate our own competition? A few Saturday night's ago, everyone showed up at my house with a bag of clothes/possible costumes, we paired into couples, each couple drew a song, and we had 30 minutes to come up with a dance. Yes, there is a video. No, you will never see it. In order for us all to participate, we made a pact that there would be no watchers who didn't participate, and the video would stay amongst us. It was hillarious, let's just say that. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thank God for my family of wonderfully wierd friends! Here's how the night unfolded...

Here we are in costume, awaiting our performance (Yes, those are fishnets I have on. And an apron. It was relevant to our routine, I promise. :). Pictured here is Mandy and Pax, who danced something hillarious, and MP and Josh, who really didn't get through their dance without breaking down in laughter.:

Aaron and I danced a Lyrical Hip Hop routine to "Turn Me On" by Norah Jones. In this dance, we portrayed a couple where the husband is a mime, and has a hard time leaving his work at the office. He comes home to his wife cooking dinner, and the breakdown in their relationship brought people to tears (of laughter, that is). Here's Aaron ready to portray the art of mimery:

Brandon, below, danced a contemporary routine with Linda. They danced to "No Scrubs." I guess that's why they were wearing my scrubs. :) Behind him is Mel and Jon. Yes, Jon is wearing a belly shirt. They dance a hip hop routine to "Ignition" by R Kelly.
Linda in her costume:
Our hostess and judges: Rachel (aka Kat Deely) and Bethy (aka Mary Murphy). Check out Bethy's Mary Murphy outfit. And man can she imitate that scream!!! What talent exists in our humble abode.
And of course, our night wouldn't be complete without a trip to the hospital. Poor Mandy was ending her routine and tore her MCL (the thing that keeps your kneecap in place). She is going to have surgery after her wedding. She said after the pain subsided, she and Pax couldn't stop laughing in the ER and tried to come up with a better story to tell the doc. :)
Watching as they load Mandy in the car...
Waving her off to the hopsital. This is where MP told us we were going to hell for making light of the matter. :)
