I have an adorable patient who has supplied me with several laughs over the past few months. She is a precious lady who has probably never said a cross word in her life, and she struggles with word finding. The good thing is, she has a great sense of humor and is able to enjoy her answers as much as I am. Here are a few of my favorites...
1. Me: "A great economic disaster occured in the 1930s. What was that called?"
Her, with the biggest smile you have ever seen spread across her face: "The Great
Depression!"
Me: "Do you remember that? Was that a tough time?"
Her, whose smile gets even bigger: "Yes!"
2. Me: "Bob wants a pet, but he does not want a cat. What is another furry animal he could
get?"
Her: "A muskrat."
3. Me: "A lady is trying to decide what to fix for supper. She knows their is chicken in the
freezer, she does not have time to go to the store, and the kids had pizza for lunch.
What could she serve?"
Her: "Fruit."
